Tracking links
One link per channel or creator. It's the half of attribution that's always exact.
Creating a link
In Links → Create link you set:
- Channel — Meta, TikTok, Google, X, Snapchat… This is what decides the source of every conversion on that link.
- Campaign — a label to group links (e.g. Summer Sale · US).
- Destination (optional) — a deep link for deferred deep linking.
You get a URL like makervn.app/go/<slug>. Use it as the destination of that ad, or as your bio link. That's it — no UTM juggling.
What happens on a click
When someone taps the link, we:
- record the click with its network click id (
fbclid,ttclid,twclid,gclidorclick_id), IP, country and a device signal set; - redirect to the correct store at the speed of a 302.
Bots and link-preview prefetchers (iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack…) are detected and redirected without recording a click, so a planted preview can never win attribution.
Social in-app browsers
Taps from inside Instagram/TikTok/Facebook open a sandboxed in-app browser that stalls on a plain store redirect. MakeRVN detects these and serves a clean coach page — the store icon and an arrow to the “Open in browser” menu — so the user still lands in the real store.
The source is never a guess
Channel and campaign are attributes of the link you placed in the ad. Only the click → purchase tie needs signal-based matching — the source itself is always exact.
